Privacy Policy

Printed is a social app for options traders. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Printed app and website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Printed is operated by Savaria Media LLC ("Printed", "we", "us"), which runs the Printed iPhone app and website. Printed is available in the United States only, to people 18 and older.

Printed is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. We never hold your money and we never place orders. When you trade, you do it in your own brokerage account.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address (or the private relay address Sign in with Apple provides), your name, your @handle, an optional profile photo and bio, and your date of birth, which we use only to confirm you're 18 or older.
• What you post: trades you post, notes, comments, Back and Fade reactions, the people, tickers and flows you follow, the trades you track on paper, and any reports you send us.
• Settings: your default post visibility (Public or Friends only), whether you show position size, and your notification preferences.
• Messages to us: anything you send when you contact support.

If you connect a broker

Broker connections go through SnapTrade, a third-party connection provider. You sign in to your broker on your broker's or SnapTrade's own page. We never receive or store your broker username or password. With your permission, we receive read-only information:

• the broker name and the last digits of your account number (for example "••4821");
• your open options positions (contract, quantity, average price) and filled options trades;
• whether your account is approved for options, and position values as a share of your account so we can show size as a percentage if you choose.

This read-only access cannot place, change or cancel trades. Position size and dollar amounts are hidden from other members by default.

Contacts (only if you allow it)

If you choose to find friends from your contacts, the app converts phone numbers into one-way hashes on your phone and sends only those hashes to match members. Your raw contacts never leave your phone, and we don't keep the hashes of people who aren't members.

Purchases

Printed Pro subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription status, and receive an anonymous purchase identifier, the product and its renewal status.

Collected automatically

• Device and push: a push notification token if you turn notifications on, your device model, iOS version and app version.
• Service logs: basic technical logs (such as IP address, request times and errors) that our hosting provider records to keep the service secure and working.

We don't collect your precise location, and we don't use third-party advertising, ad-measurement or cross-app tracking tools.

3. How we use it

• to create and run your account, and to confirm you're 18 or older;
• to show your posts, records, follows and reactions to the people allowed to see them;
• to verify broker-connected trades as REAL and calculate verified records and leaderboards;
• to send the notifications you've turned on;
• to provide Printed Pro and confirm your subscription;
• to keep Printed safe: to review reports, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent fraud, spam and market manipulation;
• to fix problems and improve the service;
• to meet legal obligations.

4. What other members see

• Your profile: your name, @handle, photo, bio, record and follower counts are visible to members.
• Your posts: each post is Public or Friends only. Friends are members you follow who also follow you. You can widen a post from Friends only to Public at any time, but not the other way.
• Records: your verified record counts every REAL post, whatever its visibility. Members who can't see a post still see its effect on your record, but not its details.
• Size: position size and dollar amounts are hidden unless you choose to show them on a post.
• Blocks: members you block can't see your profile, posts, comments or reactions.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:

• With service providers who run Printed for us, under contracts that limit how they use it: Supabase (database, sign-in and hosting), SnapTrade (broker connections), RevenueCat (subscription status), and Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store payments and push notifications). Market data providers send us market data; we don't send them your personal information.
• With other members, as described in section 4.
• For legal reasons: to comply with law or a valid legal request, to protect the rights, safety and property of Printed, our members or the public, or to investigate fraud or market manipulation.
• In a business transfer: if Printed is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
• With your consent, for anything else.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. Posted trades are part of your public record and can't be deleted while your account exists; moderators may hide content, but hidden posts still count toward their author's record.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your profile, posts, comments, reactions, follows and broker connection data within 30 days, except for what we must keep to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our terms. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule. Disconnecting a broker stops new syncs immediately.

7. Your choices and rights

• In the app: edit your profile, change post visibility defaults, hide position size, turn notifications off, block members, disconnect your broker, and delete your account from Settings.
• Permissions: you can turn off Contacts and Notifications access at any time in iOS Settings.
• Access, correction and deletion: you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by contacting us. We'll verify your request from your account email.
• State privacy rights: depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete and port your personal information, and to opt out of its sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. We don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To use any of these rights, contact us; you can use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We won't discriminate against you for using your rights.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, row-level access controls in our database, and keep broker connection secrets on our servers only, never in the app. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.

9. Age requirement

Printed is only for people 18 and older. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and don't show member content until your age is confirmed. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
